Procedure
Project group
From the first encounter up to and including the delivery and aftercare for your product, you always know exactly where you stand. Our account manager will prepare a quotation, based on your requirements, with you. We will then set up a project group, which includes our project engineer and your representative(s), supplemented if necessary with a buyer, quality assurance technician, logistics representative and production manager. The project engineer is the project leader and your contact throughout the entire project, from the award of the order up to the release of the production samples. We have the knowledge and experience to organize and execute projects according to ISO TS 16949.
Design
At VDL Wientjes Emmen projects are defined on the basis of an integral approach. Where necessary we will submit design recommendations, which can be adapted to the most suitable technology and, of course, to the required product specifications, using our 3D CAD system. Exchanges of information between our company and the client are usually transmitted via the digital highway. We work with NX Siemens 3D.
In the design phase, we are able to carry out FEM strength calculations for both hot pressing and injection moulded products, making use of the Ansys software.
For injection-moulded products, we can carry out flow analysis with Moldex 3D to ensure optimum mould construction.
Production
Once the mould has been designed and the tools have been assembled VDL Wientjes Emmen will create a number of test products, to ensure that they meet with your complete satisfaction. Measurement reports are prepared in order to reflect the accuracy of the dimensions. During production quality control is executed through SPC and the process is checked through Vision systems.
Logistics
This stage is followd by serial production and delivery of the order. The logistics stage is equally important. VDL Wientjes Emmen ensures that aspects such as labelling and packaging are correct. Regular deliveries are geared to client orders. The 4.500 palletplaces in our warehouse are followed through our Warehouse Management System. If required, we deliver according to Just-in-Time and KanBan principles.
